Origin: Spain – olive trees have been cultivated in the Mediterranean region since the 8th millennium BC. Spain is the world’s largest olive oil producer, followed by Italy and Greece.

Colour and scent: light to medium green

Texture: thick, fruity, slightly peppery

Olive oil contains many beneficial fatty acids, anti-inflammatory compounds and antioxidants. It can be used as a base oil to help moisturise the skin, support wound healing and even combat infections.

Studies indicate that olive oil may be a promising care agent for various skin conditions such as seborrhoeic dermatitis, psoriasis, acne and atopic dermatitis. It may help reduce inflammation and inhibit bacterial growth in these skin conditions.
